Kantor is taking its environmental responsibilities seriously and this is reflected in the whole company's culture. The company has achieved to combine the highest quality of its daily operations with the concurrently minimization of its impact on the environment, by applying and UpToDate environmental policy. The management of the company ensures Kantor's environmental policy continues to improve and effectively integrates with its staff with the requirements of climate change.
We aspire to reduce our environmental footprint by committing to the following:
- Complying with Greek and EU legislation and regulation requirements;
- Balancing virtual and on-site working conditions for our staff;
- Minimizing the energy dissipation of Kantor's building (e.g. heating, lighting, cold and noise through thermal insulating windows and frames);
- Using environmentally friendly maintenance materials for the building;
- Participating in the local community with environmental corporate social responsibility events (i.e tree planting and other events);
- Recycling electronic devices at the suitable containers inside company's building (i.e batteries, computers, cables);
- Re-using electronic devices and stationery among colleagues;
- Reducing prints and using recycled paper, plastic and glass as well as returnable water bottles; To promote the use of electronic vs hard copy files;
- Collaborating with suppliers with environmental friendly policies;
- Promoting through our corporate e-mail signatures environmental friendly messages (i.e "think before you print").
- Reduction of the days of physical presence of employees at Kantor's office by 50% in order to reduce the company's carbon footprint.
- Possibility of working remotely on days of public transport strikes.
- The company implements remote working for those who wish to do so on days of severe weather events due to climate change (e.g. heatwave)
- The majority of employees choose public transport for their commute to the workplace.
- Elimination of disposable cups and their replacement by reusable cups.
Kantor's "ENVIROMENTAL MANAGEMENT SYSTEM" responsibility is to communicate and monitor the performance of the company against the above mentioned elements, to continually improve Kantor's environmental performance and to ensure that Kantor's staff and external 2 from 2 partners are aware of the most updated environmental policy and its related objectives and activities.
