Description

The project aimed to assist in the reform of the energy sector in B&H and to create a country wide energy market, integrated into SEE and the EU, in line with commitments to the Energy Community Treaty, Energy Charter Treaty, Kyoto Protocol and all aspects of the Acquis Communautaire relating to energy efficiency (EE), renewables (RES) and energy sustainability.
The scope of the work under the project included educating energy stakeholders about EE and RES, launching EE and RES demonstration projects to illustrate to municipalities and households how they could improve energy use and uptake of renewables, building up capacity of local institutions and actors to foster EE and RES, and helping to establish an institutional and policy framework for EE and RES that supports energy market reforms.
