Kantor has successfully completed the Strategic Assessment Study of 22 regional airports in Greece. This comes as an update to the 2016 identification and evaluation of strategies study regarding the airports, also conducted by Kantor.
Kantor made suggestions for the best utilisation of the airports’ assets and expects that the study will be an important element in the hands of the management of the airports in order to further develop their potential.
To identify the airports’ development prospects Kantor examined a number of factors:
- The traffic evolution of the airports and their competitors and the capacity of traffic that they can handle.
- The airports’ infrastructure status, touristic potential and real estate developments. In that respect future actions regarding the airports’ capacity were also assessed.
- The airports’ financial stability and soundness
- The social impact of their development.
The assessment was carried out within a period of 9 months.
