Kantor has the pleasure of carrying out in collaboration with PwC Greece the project “Provision of Advisory Services for the support in detailing and implementation of PPC’s decommissioning action plan”.
The project aims to support PPC in its efforts to complete its lignite decommissioning programme in Western Macedonia and Megalopoli in terms of a) developing an operating model, workforce plan & the respective action plan for the efficient management of PPC personnel, b) designing a detailed decommissioning and rehabilitation plan for PPC Lignite Plants and Mines, c) identifying and assessing alternative funding options & developing a funding plan for PPC assets’ new uses, and d) establishing a robust project management & implementation support mechanism.
In this context, we are co-developing the operating model, workforce plan and the respective action-plan. We design in detail the interim operating models and the transition actions until phase-out completion, accompanied with detailed workforce planning and the appropriate allocation and relocation actions for redundant personnel.
We co-develop the detailed design of Lignite Plants and Mines decommissioning and rehabilitation plan, thereby supporting PPC to timely and efficiently complete the decommissioning process.
We analyze and assess alternative funding options for PPC assets’ new uses, thereby ensuring the provision of diverse funding options to PPC for its projects and the articulation of an efficient funding plan capable of orientating PPC towards financing its new projects at the lowest possible cost.
We are designing and establishing a robust programme management organization with a solid and well-tested PPM methodology for setting up and operationalizing a programme management structure, in order to ensure effective monitoring of PPC decommissioning implementation and coordination of involved stakeholders.
