Description

The subject matter of this Contract is to conduct a study on “European electricity forward markets and hedging products - state of play and elements for monitoring”. This Contract relates to lot 2 of the Framework Contract “Provision of Legal, Economic and Technical Assistance in the field of Energy Regulation for the Agency for the Cooperation of Energy Regulators” No ACERJOP/DIRIO8/2013/LOT 2/05 .

Services Provided:

  • Survey of forward markets and hedging products. Examination of both quantitative and qualitative information regarding the trading of energy and transmission rights in the forward market;
  • Identification of gaps in coverage or other potential defects in particular areas;
  • Overview of the theoretical literature and different market examples with aim to determine specific methods to evaluate efficiency and/or the effectiveness of forward markets;
  • Provision of recommendations regarding essential metrics that should be monitored in the forward electricity markets;
  • Methodologies for assessing impact of FCA NC
