Business opportunities for SOCAR in the Greek gas sector

The purpose of the assignment is to provide consulting services to SOCAR Energy Greece S.A, for the identification and evaluation of attractive opportunities for SOCAR’s involvement in the Greek natural gas sector.

The services provided through two phases. At phase A provided a market entry assessment strategy development, assesing the following 8 models:

1. Identification of business opportunities
2. Analysis of revenue prospects
3. Analysis of market ‘barriers to entry’
4. Risk assessment
5. Target markets’ attractiveness appraisal
6. Identification of critical success factors per target market & evaluation of relative competitive position
7. Prioritization of target markets
8. Creation of market assessment & prioritization report.

At phase B provided a financial analysis and business planning, assesing the follows:

1. Detailed financial evaluation per business case;
2. Decision go/nogo;
3. Development of business plan per business case;
4. Development of detailed action plan per business case.
